Conducting farm site evaluation

24-26 August 2017 Agro Farm Capital conducted on site evaluation of a potential farm site for the Phase I large scale dairy farm investment.  The site located in Pskov Oblast, is within reasonable driving distance for milk deliveries to St. Petersburg milk processing facilities, has good access to utilities and close to major highways.

"Agro Farm Capital" participates in the “Evening Harvest” exposition which took place in Moscow Region.  During this exposition, the German agricultural equipment maker “CLAAS.” showed off grass harvesting and silage handling equipment.  Also present were business partners who provide complimenting agricultural equipment from companies such as “Amazone” and “Lemken.”

Meeting with "Danone" representatives

Meeting with Danone representatives for a full review of the "Agro Farm Capital" investment model for the two phase large scale dairy investment.  "Danone" also reviewed all biological aspects of the model related to growth of the dairy herd, target for calving cycle for adult cows, milk yield per cow, expected fodder growing costs, and expected yield per hectare for growing of corn silage and grass silage.  At end of the review, "Danone" found that the assumptions in the model were realistic, and the expected financial targets to be achievable. This eventually resulted in "Danone"signing a non-binding letter of intent on 8 December 2015, to purchase milk volumes long term from our large-scale dairy farm.  This letter was later updated and reissued on 13 February 2015.  For the latest non-binding LOI from "Danone". Large Scale Dairy Project presentation made in Moscow to representatives of the Russian company “WimmBillDann,” who is the Number 2 producer of yogurts in the Russian market. “WimmBillDann” is majority owned by "PepsiCo".  "WimmBillDann" indicated their interest in the project and their interest to increase local supply of milk in NW Russia.

Visit to the new dairy in Vaatsa, Estonia

Visit to the new dairy in Vaatsa, Estonia, where "Trigon Agri" recently commissioned a new farm for 3,300 milking cows.  The farm uses a rotary dairy parlor, and the latest technology for milk cooling, heat recovery, waste water usage, and slurry handling. As this farm is located not far from the Pskov Region, and with similar soil and climatic conditions, we consider this a benchmark for our design and milk yield targets.

Follow-up meeting with the Director of “Galactika” dairy processing

Follow-up meeting with the Director of “Galactika” dairy processing, the Number 3 producer of yogurt in Northwest Russia. "Galactika" confirmed their interest to buy large volumes of milk from us in the future.  This confirmation resulted in them eventually issuing a non-binding Letter of Intent on 15 July 2015.

Initial project presentation made to the Director of “Galactika” dairy processing company, the Number 3 producer of yogurt in Northwest Russia, and a producer of the Finnish company “Valio” yogurts.  "Galactika" confirmed the deficit of local milk production in Russia in general, and NW Russia in particular.  "Galactika" signaled their interest in our project, and for potentially signing long term purchase agreements for supply of milk.
